LIGHT FESTIVAL

IN THE WONDERLAND

In the Sigulda Castle quarter
from February 4 to March 20

Enter the world full of illusions, colors, music and magic! You will be fascinated of hundreds huge handmade silk sculptures inspired by Lewis Carroll fairytale Alice in Wonderland. You will have possibility to see a smiling Cheshire cat, huge glowing mushrooms, a forest of magical flowersand many other fairy-tale creatures.

 

SO WILL YOU DARE TO ENTER A MYSTERIOUS RABBIT CAVE AND DIVE INTO A MAGICAL, BEAUTIFULLY STRANGE WORLD?.. BE BRAVE!

These are festivals that bring light and joy through the darkness of winter for both the children and adults. This is the first Lantern festival in Latvia.

 

 

Each light object or sculpture is unique and handmade. In the festival we used thousands of meters of silk and millions of bulbs and every sculpture tells a story bringing to life fantastic creatures, animals and plants from the fairytales. We invite you to visit the performance, which will combine sculpture, lighting design, sound and live characters from the fairy tale Alice in Wonderland.

TICKETS ONLINE:

Adults – 16 Eur / person.
For children from 6 years, pupils, students,
for seniors, the disabled – 11 Eur / person.
Children up to 5 years old (inclusive) free of charge.
Family tickets:
2 + 1 (two adults and a child from 6 to 18 years old) – 40 Eur.
2 + 2 (two adults and two children from 5 to 18 years old) – 50 Eur.

 

Tickets on spot:

Adults – 18 Eur / person.
For children from 6 years, pupils, students,
for seniors, the disabled – 13 Eur / person.
Children up to 5 years old (inclusive) free of charge.
Family tickets:
2 + 1 (two adults and a child from 6 to 18 years old) – 45 Eur.
2 + 2 (two adults and two children from 6 to 18 years old) – 55 Eur.

From March 1, the festival is open to everyone!

You no longer need to present a certificate of vaccination against Covid-19 or a past illness to attend the event.


* In the premises of the castle and workshops, the certificate is still required, as well as the use of medical masks or FFP-2 respirators.

 

 

The Festival In Wonderland is one big, bright and colorful performance in the open air. The beauty of more than 300 handmade silk sculptures, characters from the book “Alice in Wonderland” and enchanting music playing in the majestic scenery of two Sigulda castles are combined here.

And you can become a part of this magical performance, feel like Alice traveling in Wonderland!
